Dan teams up with Sports Sphere

British Paralympic Discus Athlete, Dan Greaves has signed with Sports Sphere to manage his commercial, PR and digital interests. A Paralympic Champion and three-time World Champion, Dan is one of Team GB’s most experienced Paralympians, having competed and medalled at four consecutive Paralympic Games.

Dan commented: “The next 18 months are crucial for me, with the ultimate aim being a medal at Rio 2016, my fifth Paralympic Games; it’s key that I have the right team around me and I’m confident that I have that in Sports Sphere.”

Aged 18, Dan made his Paralympic debut at the 2000 Paralympic Games in Sydney, taking a Silver medal in the F44/46 category, going one better in Athens in 2004; becoming Paralympic Champion and setting a new World Record distance of 55.53 metres. In 2008, Dan missed out on retaining his Paralympic title but secured a place on the podium, taking Bronze.

In 2011, Dan won his third World Championship. The following year he won Silver at the London 2012 Paralympics, throwing a season’s best of 59.01m, maintaining his record of winning a medal at every Paralympic Games in which he has competed. Dan won Silver at the 2013 World Championships and, in 2014; he became both European and Commonwealth Champion.
